"Combat game very similar to Worms"
Did you ever play that game Worms, where you were always trying to strategically blow up your enemy worms? Well, this game has a very similar concept, except Soldat is based on a true story. Like Worms, it has a 2D game environment, and also like Worms, it will have you completely hooked from the very first level you play.
Soldat allows you to play in several different modes, either single player mode against the computer, or in multiplayer mode, which can be done over a local area network (LAN) or over an internet connection. When it’s time to play, each player will choose the weapon that they prefer from the twenty options available. The goal of the game, of course, is to be the last one standing once the battle is over. Your enemies will be the other players or robot characters controlled by the computer, depending on what mode you are in.
Besides single and multiplayer, you will have seven different game options in Soldat, which includes different setups and missions, including the classic “capture the flag” type game, or, as described above, a no holds barred, fight to the death. It’s free, so what are you waiting for?
